Application Process for Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions
Become part of the exist Women Universities
Colleges and research institutions can apply for funding during the respective application round to implement the “exist Women” program at their institutions and to support women interested in starting a business on their path to entrepreneurial independence.
Applications are submitted based on the currently valid Guideline. To submit an application, the AZA Project Proposal Form as well as the additional application documents required for exist Women. An overview of all required documents, templates, and instructions for submitting an application can be found in ourChecklist.
The complete application must be submitted exclusively online via the easy online application system. It is not necessary to also send the documents by mail.
Online Application System
The submission deadline applicable to the respective application round applies. For the next funding round (exist Women 2027), applications may be submitted between September 1 and 30, 2026.

As a founder or someone interested in starting a business, you do not apply directly to exist. The participating universities and research institutions handle the application and selection of participants.
