Noxon

Muscle technology for new therapeutic approaches
How can treatments be tailored more specifically to individual needs and better integrated into patients’ daily lives? This is the question that the Munich-based startup Noxon is addressing. The team is developing a wearable medical technology system that tracks muscle activity during daily activities while simultaneously providing targeted stimulation.
The exist startup grant played a crucial role in the transition from research to company formation. As co-founder and CEO Maria Neugschwender explains, the early startup phase was marked by significant uncertainty, both in terms of technological development and the establishment of the necessary corporate structures. The funding gave the team the financial freedom to focus entirely on developing the project while simultaneously laying the organizational foundations of the company. The close, collaborative partnership with the university environment was also particularly valuable. The opportunity to have dedicated workspaces and development facilities from the very beginning also played a key role in building a strong team and developing a corporate culture that continues to shape the startup to this day.
Today, Noxon is working to further develop its technology toward clinical application and personalized therapeutic solutions. Since its founding in 2022, the company has achieved key milestones and recently closed a multi-million-dollar seed financing round. Noxon’s development exemplifies how exist helps translate scientific innovations into successful startup ventures and provides targeted support to research teams as they enter the market.
